Originally built in 1925 to honor those Tennesseans who served in World War I, the Tennessee State Museum was originally established by the state legislature to commemorate the heroes of the Spanish-American War. It has since grown to include military operations throughout the twentieth century up until the last conflict. The exhibits at the museum were redesigned in 2019 to address the environmental challenges of the aging building and better protect important artifacts. Visitors today will find a more modern narrative that relies heavily on stories and graphics. We recommend that all visitors to the regiment consider visiting the museum's main area for its extensive World War II and World War II exhibits.
